& Vision
Habbakuk
2:2-4
“Then the Lord answered me and said, “Record the vision
and inscribe it on tablets that the one who reads it may run. For the
vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal, and
it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly
come; it will not delay.”
The vision that
God has placed in our hearts for Victory Church is great. It encompasses
a full spectrum of opportunities to meet spiritual, mental and physical
aspects of humanity at any age. We are called first and foremost to
provide a facility where people of all ages may come and find a community
of loving, caring people who are dedicated to helping each other better
themselves through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We are
committed to be: A House of Prayer, A House of Worship, A House of Reconciliation,
A House of Friends and A House of Healing. Our mission also includes
a global perspective with emphasis on missions throughout the world.
We are called to be a “glocal” center—that is, both
local and global at the same time.
History
This church was founded in 1975 by Dr. Dwayne Lusk of
Plano, Texas. He pastored successfully for 25 years. In December 2000,
he relinquished his pastoral duties to his son-in-law, Dr. Paul Freeman.
He has become an Apostle (overseer) of several churches, including this
one, and is dedicating more time to missions work in the Ukraine and
Russia. Dr. Freeman has been a minister at this church since 1984 in
several different capacities including Youth Pastor, Minister of Music
and Associate Pastor before becoming Senior Pastor in 2000. Under Dr.
Freeman’s leadership the church moved into its new facilities
at 6301 E. Parker Road, Parker, Texas in August 2003.
History of New Property/Facility
In 1997, the church purchased 25 acres of land located
at the corner of E. Parker Road & Hogge Road (Murphy Rd.) in Parker,
Texas. After selling our previous facility, we broke ground for this
present building in September 2001and held our first service in August
2003. The building has a footprint of 18,750 sq. ft. and second floor
potential of 13,000 sq. ft.
Our goal for this
first building is to develop a multi-purpose facility to be used primarily
for youth and young adult outreach ministry. The first building will
ultimately be dedicated to Youth and children’s ministry. We have
“built out” and are occupying approximately 12,000 sq. ft.
of the 31,000 sq. ft. building.

Future Master Plan
for the Property
Our master plan for this property includes a building
mirroring the present building. After this building is built, the present
facility will be strictly for children and youth programs while the
new building will house the auditorium and classrooms for the educational
programs
The third building
in our master plan is an auditorium that will seat approximately 2,500
people.
The Assisted
Living Facility mentioned above is not on our Master Plan for the property
at this present time.
